I currently have a Sony receiver with DTS and ST835 optical output, a Samsung HD-870 Upconvert DVD player and I hope to buy a budget 32 "LCD TV with a decent (many sets that fails, in my opinion) . Worry II lost the ability (DTS DVD player and receiver who has the time) and my biggest beneficiary does not do HDMI input (new TV and DVD player or both). Please Recommendations for the budget minded person, which me, combined or Please please update? Note: I have and I can not have cable tv right now. I'm using rabbit ears on my CRT now until February 2009 in order to get a signal ..

You can also HDMI video upconversion for DVD player to your TV to have an optical (or digital coaxial) Cable surround audio (DTS HD) DVD player (to the recipient in a DVD menu, Clear).
You do not need the HDMI receiver (even if you do not change the font in the same place ... you need to convert a DVD into the receiver for the sound and proper entry into the television to the get picture) and still get DTS and DD surround.
